Sept. 2, 2010 – Senior citizens living on the upper Atlantic coast, who normally expect their Social Security check on the third day of the month, should be receiving their checks today.

U.S. Rep. Anna Eshoo was all smiles as she met with Coastsiders at the Ted Adcock Community / Senior Center Tuesday to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Social Security. More than 60 Coastside seniors flocked to the Senior Center to enjoy a hot lunch and discussion with the congresswoman about the benefits, pitfalls and remaining hurdles that face Social Security.

The two candidates in the 24 Congressional District agree: The current Social Security system should remain in place and not be privatized But Rep.
